Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to kontynuacja ¶wietnej gry taktycznej współtworzonej przez firmy Digital Illusions i Electronic Arts. Pierwsza czę¶ć została wydana w 2008 roku i była kolejn± po Battlefield 2: Modern Combat udan± prób± przeniesienia pecetowej serii na konsole (Xbox 360 i PlayStation 3).
W drugiej odsłonie cyklu po raz kolejny wcielamy się w członka tytułowej niesławnej kompanii, złożonej z raczej niezbyt poprawnych żołnierzy. Jak zwykle ekipa znalazła się w centrum niezwykle niebezpiecznych wydarzeń i ponownie bierze udział w zakrojonym na ogromn± skalę konflikcie zbrojnym. Aby poznać ciekaw± historię musimy przemierzyć między innymi o¶nieżone szczyty górskie, gęst± dżunglę i zapyziałe małe wioski.
Zabawa zasadniczo nie różni się od pierwowzoru, gdyż twórcy postanowili kontynuować i rozwin±ć najlepsze elementy jedynki. Otrzymujemy więc całkiem sporo okazji do wykorzystania licznych pojazdów, których w tej czę¶ci jest jeszcze więcej. Bitwy z ich udziałem s± spektakularne i i¶cie epickie. W nasze ręce oddano także bardzo pokaĽny arsenał złożony z rozmaitych broni i sprzętu. Sednem rozgrywki jest oczywi¶cie sianie zniszczenia – większo¶ć obecnych w grze obiektów może ulec destrukcji.
Tytuł wykorzystuje ogromne możliwo¶ci zaawansowanego silnika graficznego Frostbite, który został użyty już w pierwszej czę¶ci serii. Wykreowane przez twórców krajobrazy s± więc niezwykle szczegółowe, a cała zabawa jest bardzo dynamiczna. Oprócz rozgrywki dla pojedynczego gracza, autorzy standardowo przygotowali kilka trybów gry sieciowej. W Bad Company 2 pojawiaj± się znane z poprzednich odsłon Conquest i Gold Rush, a także dwie zupełnie nowe opcje rozgrywki koncentruj±ce się na drużynach, czyli kilkuosobowych grupkach graczy tworzonych w obrębie jednej strony konfliktu.
